Story making: a “listicle” of live streamers
Surfing the web, we find four common types of live streamers:
- Recluses…Primarily gamer-types, org. on Twitch, these streamers are focused on games/walk-throughs. Twitch has 2.2 million unique broadcasters, and streamers here can earn up to $7000 a month just playing their favourite games. Where do I sign up?

Taylor’s new book Watch Me Play released last year explains the gist of this gaming trend.
- Mukbangs… A relatively new-ish trend in Australia, where people stream themselves eating food.
- IRL streamers… People who stream the activities and outings of their everyday life. NB: this isn’t always as laid back as it seems!
- Crime… With this one predict a couple of ACA episodes exploring how “crazy” teenagers are today, as it focuses on the live streaming violent and criminal acts.

We want to explore the innately human and unique side of streaming -types 1-3 will be our focus.
