Who is our audience?

Broadly speaking, young Australians still remain very much unaware of the darker side of the tech they use. Most assume tech is not developed with a “social purpose”, i.e it is developed with some linear/logical projection.

In line with this, we imagine the audience of our feature to be the followers of trends rather than “early adopters”. This “superficial understanding” leaves them without specific knowledge, but capable of learning more. We want to shock, inform and educate with our feature…

Vice’s sub publication Motherboard, with its more tech-savy focus, will not do this. Its audiences already have detailed knowledge of tech. If published here, any insights found in our feature will be confined to this “filter-bubble”.
